giorgia chiarion (b.1990) is an artist exploring how people inhabit physical and digital spaces and the stories held by these places. her practice moves between performance, cooperative research, and participatory space-building, often spiralling inward toward the intimate and familiar: the family, the home, and the female body. working with weaving, embroidery, sewing, crochet, and processes of undoing and repair, she creates organic sculptural forms through slow, tactile making. she is co-founder of tracing spaces, reflections of-, queering families. giorgia has presented work at the institute of contemporary arts (london), design museum (london), and museo anahuacalli (cdmx).
